Set in Haiti during and immediately after the catastrophic earthquake of 2010, the production's very small space dictated a compact set that reflected the dereliction of a poor world that could be destroyed in the climax of the play while allowing for dream sequences, flashbacks, and imaginary adventures, all of which had to be set up prior to each night's performance and removed after. The design was realized using translucent corrugated plastic panels that were allowed to drop, crash, and collapse in during the final moments of the show.
